RPGMAKERDX: UPDATE

RPGMakerDX is my never ending work building a 3D RPG Maker.
This RPGMaker work based on script. You write your script and the RPGMaker will read it and play it.

About NPC/MESH Animation
When loading an animation NPC/MESH, you are actualy loading a .TXT file. The file contains several animation file (.X, .3DS, .B3D). Each file will make a sequence such as (walk, stand, run, etc).

About MESH TYPE
When load a mesh/npc, you set the type of that mesh. There are several type of mesh
0 or none : normal mesh, don’t have any event
1 : auto, event automatically trigered when mesh is stepped/touched
2 : mesh is triggered when space is pressed
3 : mesh is NPC, the event is triggered when space is pressed
6 : mesh is non animated NPC

About LABEL and Event
Label is preceded with : (Colon)
Label is used for destination of any jump command (Jump, GotoIF)
Label also define the start of an event. A label named with the name of a mesh define the start of event of that mesh.

About Map Builder (New Update)
MapBuilder is used to make the MAP easier. It gives you the very basic need in building your MAP. You still need to edit the script after it is produced by the editor. Instead of script the MapBuilder also produce binary file to store the data. This data is used in MapBuilder only and cannot be used in RPG.



About the key in Map Builder
There are some keys to remember when using the MapBuilder
I = zoom in
O = zoom out
R = reset camera
Home, End = rotate camera
Arrow = move around
A = lift up
B = move down


About the Grid
The map is gridded at 50 point. The actual volume of npc is 100 points. The idea is to make something similar with 2D Map where the map is tiled/gridded so that it makes the work easier.
